Hi,
I am 9 weeks pregnant and am suffering from pains in my pelvic area, they hurt when I stand up suddenly or if I suck my stomach in, Does anyone know what these could be? I have had an early scan as I had a slight bloody discharge and the nurse checked for ectopic pregnancy and I cam back clear. I also had a urine check yet I have a slightly green discharge and still bleed slightly after getting intimate with my husband, Can anyone help on this matter?I have had it checked by Dr's but they just say it is nothing to worry about, it would just be nice to know why I am getting these stabbing pains

hi there, I too had the green discharge at the beginning of my pregnancy along with the pains, only mine were strongest after I passed urine. I had all the relevant swob's to test for infections, urine samples, babies heart rate monitored, blood pressure checked and everything came back clear. So what I am trying to tell you is that it doesn't always mean that you have an infection when you have discoloured discharge because I was clear and my discharge was green too and very slimy. As for the pains they had no explanation so I guess they were just growing pains.
I am now 18 weeks pregnant and both of these have now stopped. I have had a scan and baby seems fine. Have a little faith in your doctor they know what they are doing, and try not to worry to much. If it is really getting to you ask for a second opinion but im sure you and baby will be fine.
Good Luck and congrats on the pregnancy

I would say that the pelvic pain is your round ligaments stretching to accomodate your growing uterus. This will continue for a while (if your pregnancy is anything like mine). My pelvic pain still happens, but now it is because of the baby's head pressing on it! Anyway, I am not too sure about the blood after intercourse, maybe you should try to be a little more gentle, or aviod intercourse. Your doctor knows best, so listen to him/her.

Just keep on bugging your physician, that's what they are there for. Rather be safe than sorry. You shouldn't be having a discolored disharge unless you have an infection of some sort such as a yeast infection. Make sure they check you for that. It is very common in early pregnancy. Good luck and I hope you get to feeling better and have a healthy pregnancy!

it quite is in all probability general. If the undertaking gets worse or is severe, communicate on your physician. I had terrible back pains throughout the time of the previous few weeks of being pregnant and the Dr. mentioned it replaced into the burden of the toddler pulling forward against the traditional place of my back. i'm a small individual and had a typical (7 pound toddler). reliable success.

Hello! I was told it's my baby "bedding in! and my uterus stretching - pity the midwife doesn't think to tell you bout these pains tho as we all get them and all panic when we do.
I would lay of full blown intercourse until your nearer your 12 weeks if you've had a bleed... lots of other ways to pass the time - nod nod wink wink.. good luck!

All your ligaments etc soften a little, as your body adapts to accomodate your baby! These sound to me like 'stretching' pains and really apart from being uncomfortable, not at all harmful.

It's your ligaments stretching. You will probably also notice pains when you cough or sneeze.
I think some bleeding after sex is also quite common.

I'd see another doctor - it sounds like you have a vag. infection (especially if bleeding every time after sex). Also the green discharge is not normal.
