i have my first OB visit today...?

i am 11 weeks do you think i will be able to hear the heartbeat? when do you normally hear it?

11 weeks might be a little early... or it might not.

At this stage, a lot depends both on your body weight and on the baby's position.

I'm overweight, and heard my first child's heartbeat at 9 weeks, clear as a bell. At some later appointments, it was harder to hear, just because he was swimming around and not in a good spot to hear it from.

So --you may well get to hear it. But if you don't, it's nothing to worry about.
