Extended education is an alternative way for students to learn skills outside their books. The purpose of this education is to promote the importance of knowledge learned not only inside the classroom but in real life situations as well. Hands-on activities, community immersion team building, health and environment concerns and volunteering are examples of how effective extended education can be carried out. Academicians, politicians, entrpreneurs and community servants should inspire the attainment of this endeavor.
