My parents are from out of state and said they wanted some clothing with utah on it, not necessarely u of u or byu though, nothing trendy, they're old.

The last time I was in Utah, people there wore the same things people in the rest of the mountain West wear. It's not another country. Try the Sundance Catalog. Their clothes have a bit of a western look, but you probably won't see many people in Utah wearing those things, unless you go to Park City.

If you want stuff from utah BYU stuff is ok University of Utah stuff the ski resorts sell clothes with their names on it.
for your parents just stuff that says utah on it without being a sports team from there is kinda tricky. I am sure they have some touristy shops at a few of the malls in Salt lake. ummm you may want to check some sport shops like fanz and see if they have some utah jazz stuff but that just says Utah on it.

There are a few touristy shops on Main Street in Park City, but thats about the only place I can think of unless you're in Moab or somewhere south.

I think that anything that has BYU's logo on it would be great.
