If you where inlove with your brother what would you do?

Its not me but my friend. She doesnt date anymore because she thinks that all guys are dumb. Im a nice guy but I have a gf if I didn't I would date her. Yesterday she told me that she was inlove with her brother. She said he's the perfect guy. I told her thats disgusting. She plans to ask him to marry her on christmas eve. How can I stop this tragedy from happening?

If they are biological brother and sister, there isn't a state if this country that would allow them to marry.
It doesn't sound like she has really thought this through - does her brother even know about this strange attraction that she has for him? You didn't say how old these people are. Is this just a "story"? Are the brother and sister really only preschoolers? They fall in love with anyone, and want to marry some of their little friends.
If this is a real situation, and not some farce just to see if you can rile up the people on Answers, she most definitely need psychological help.

For one thing, I don't believe it's legal to marry anyone in your family (except for cousins, in some states) so I don't think you need to worry about it. Second, does her brother know? I wouldn't tell him. Either she will tell him or it's just a phase. If she really does feel that way, she'll have to deal with it I guess. You can be a friend to her, but she can't really expect you to encourage it.

explain how much trauma that would cause.
i would try to see what her brother thought about it.
not exactly saying it to him, but trying to see what he'd feel about it.
uhmm.
that's just not supposed to happen.
try introducing her to other guys.
guys that are "perfect" for her.
and maybe if the brother finds out he can talk some sense into her.
that would shatter a family.
and families are meant to stay together.
from that point on it would be so awkward.
i hope you can talk some sense into her or find her someone else.

there is not much U can do about it. Why dont U talk to her brother and ask him what he thinks about it. If he agrees w/ her they will do it not matter what people say; did they have sex already??? that is just wrong but be careful because people usually do what others tell them to dont do. Talk to her and try to make her wait while she goes to the psychiatric or something she may listen or not, but be careful on what U say and dont get too involved because you may get affected too.

Warn her brother to find other Christmas plans. Is this her biological brother? If so, she needs serious help. Tell her parents, tell a counselor, tell someone who can get her help.
