I think it depends on the color of your athletic shoes. White socks for white shoes, and you could wear white with other color shoes or the same color as the shoes or a color in the shoes. But white socks will go with every kind of athletic shoes. I hope this helps out.

Usually white. However if your shoes are black then you should of course wear black, or if they have a lot of pink in them you could wear pink socks to match. Usually white will match all athletic shoes though. It looks really weird when someone wears other colors that don't match.

If the socks are not visible when you wear the shoes, it doesn't matter. But for functionality, your socks should be white. When you wear athletic shoes, sock lint tends to rub off more than when you wear socks with any other shoes - and undyed sock lint is better to deal with than black, red, blue, etc.
It's also easier to remove.

The color doesn't matter so much as the fabric - 100% cotton or something equally breathable that will keep your feet from wallowing in sweat. Most athletic socks come in a multitude of colors. Just pick one you like that keeps your feet cool and dry.

Well it depends on what you are wearing and will the socks be visible for people to see.Because if you are wearing pants than it don't matter, but if you are wearing shorts or a skirt than you might want to wear white socks to be on the safe side.

it doesn't really matter but if you are wearing like colors of the rainbow socks, try no shows black is also in but only the super long ones or no sshows or litle peeking out.

I'd say it depends on the length of your pants.
If you'll see the socks, then white!
If not, wear whatever you want...polka-dots, stripes, flowers....doesn't matter, they won't be seen!

ive read a beauty mag saying that the colour of ur socks should match ur pants, not ur shoes.anyway, white matches all colours

White is for all outfits. However, you can accesorize your outfit by matching your socks to your top/ blouse, tshirt, sweatshirt.
