Please tell me. Can you also use kindergarten vocabulary so I could understand the meaning? I looked it up in the dictionary, but I didn't understand it.

Kindergarten definition: it has to matter.

If you are at trial on a theft charge then the fact that you committed adultery in your marriage has no relevance--that fact doesn't matter so it's inadmissible. But the fact that someone saw you kick the door in at midnight to gain access to the home does matter so that fact would be relevant.

It means how does one thing relate to another , or the importance of the relationship between 2 things.

I think you mean 'relevance'....?
It means how important it is to the case or what's going on.
