every once in a while I will use an old toothbrush and toothpaste to clean my jewelry and it works wonders...that would be my suggestions. The toothbrush helps get dirt out!

I make Sterling jewelry, and I recommend a polishing cloth. Your local jeweler should have them and they're not expensive. Also, I've heard that the more you wear your silver, the less it will tarnish!

Toothpaste will work but even better is to gently rub the jewelry with damp baking soda. I am a jeweler and sometimes we do this to save time instead of using the polishing wheel.

Get a polishing cloth from a jewler made specifacally for silver. They are about $5.00. One side cleans and the othe buffs up to a nice high shine.

Use a moist cotton cloth and baking soda. Put the baking soda on the damp cloth and rub it on the silver to clean it. Works great!
