Yes he is the best player in the NBA. He is a great player, but can make his teammates better, unlike Kobe, Iverson, etc. If LeBron was on a big market team, people would be talking about him daily.

I think he is 1a. Kobe (as much as I don't like him, but I respect him) is the better defender and hits way more clutch shots. There is not another player in the game today that I would rather have the ball in his hands at the end of a game than Kobe.

Your point above can be made for Kobe as well. Lamar Odom is the only other viable player on the roster and the Lakers are in 1st place.

ABsolutely not. He is one of the top 20 but not more. All he does is run full speed to the basket and hope everybody gets out of his way so he can dunbk or lay it up. If not he gets fouled and misses the free throws. He can't shoot from more than 15ft away either and is not a good defender.
