well, you would know if you had flashed your BIOS but here is the gibberish anywho;
"flashing your BIOS" can do extreme damge to your system if you are not careful and dont know what you are doing. the first time i flashed mine i had a power cut and needed a new motherboard, be extremely careful! anywho - flashing your bios means to update your bios version, hence, updating a part of your computer, making it better (in some cases). But some BIOS updates will restore all BIOS settings to default, so if you had them a certain way, then you may have to put them back that way!

Flashing the BIOS means that you updated the BIOS to a newer version. Sometimes, it resets all of the options in the BIOS so you might have to mess with the settings in it, but if you don't know what you are doing, don't do that because you can really mess up your computer.

A special type of EEPROM that can be erased and reprogrammed in blocks instead of one byte at a time. Many modern PCs have their BIOS stored on a flash memory chip so that it can easily be updated if necessary. Such a BIOS is sometimes called a flash BIOS.
