I like "Cats" not "Cat-like things". I don't care for cat statutes, jewelry, cookie jars, you name it... and people ALWAYS give them to me! If asked, I always say, please no cat statues...and they always figure they're the exception!

I don't tell them after, of course, only if they ask what I want...and I'm not trying to be ugly; it's just that, after I've said I dont' like something, why give it to me? I'm not that hard to buy for!

I have the same problem. It seems people LOVE collectors and they assume you "collect" if you really like something. I love chickens, so, you guessed it. Every year I get at least one chicken or rooster figurine. The thing is I am fascinated with the real ones. I always go to their judging at the county fair. Oh well. Life goes on!

Dragon's aunt and uncle in New York used to give Dragon and her cousins reelly funny gifts that had nothing to do with what anyone asked fer. It used to be a great source of comedy at Christmas. Except now they have decided that we are "too old" to be getting presents from them (even though the rest of the family still exchanges presents).
Otherwise, peeple tend to heed Dragon's advice on what kind of presents she wants. The one person who nevar did, well, he's not in Dragon's life anymore. :p

Oh yeah..I like sweaters, and most of the time, I get turtlenecks. I cannot STAND turtlenecks. I've said it several times over and over, and they must be deaf. So I have turtlenecks that go to Goodwill..:)
