I got a puppy once... my Aunt and uncle gave me a gift bag with a dog toy in it... I was just about in tears, because I couldn;t understand why my two favorite people would get me a squeaky toy for christmas..
Then I looked up and my Uncle was holding the pup..

Yes, the year my cat and fiance both died, my friend in the humane society blessed me with Captain Worf the weekend after Christmas. He saved my life. I genuinely would have grieved myself to death if he hadn't climbed up on me and went to sleep under my chin like the other cat used to do.
