Belarc Advisor is a good one. There is also PC Doctor which has a diagnostic tool that will tell you what type of hardware is installed on your computer as well as what type of slots are available on your motherboard. This is very useful if you wish to upgrade your graphics or sound cards.

Right click on the My Computer icon and then click Properties on the menu that pops up. Go to the Hardware tab and then click the Device Manager button. Click the little "+" sign next to Display Adapters and that is your Video Card. Click the little "+" sign next to Sound, Video and Game Controllers and that is your Sound Card info.

if you do what as been said then yes it will tell you that the there is a video graphic card and sound card in your computer. but to know what make these are it will not tell you, if the right drivers are not installed.

if you have not got the manual for the mother board the only way to find out for sure is look at the motherboard, get the make, name and number, go,

once you have these then goto the manufactures web site and look up the motherboard speck it will tell you, and while you are on the web site download the manufactures latest drivers for the sound card and video card, that way you will be able to set your system up proper also if you have not got the manual then download that too

its placed on your laptop so verify if any cables are unfastened or its no longer linked suited yet you're able to do this while your laptop is shutoff and the ability twine is unplugged. If that doesnt artwork pass on your laptop's manufactuar's website and spot in case you may get carry of the drivers on your soundcard and grafics card incase they werent pre put in or something happend.

The best way I know is to open the case and read the info on the cards. Sys info in Windows wont give you enough.

The best way to find out ANYTHING and EVERYTHING that makes up your computer is...."Belarc Advisor" Google it, download it, run it and it will tell you absolutely everything that makes up your computer...Hardware, Software loaded, updates loaded and missing, size, speed, whats registered and whats not and on and on....then print it out and save the print out for reference! Best lil' piece of software I have come across.
