The planets, because light from the sun reflects off the planets back towards earth. Some moons can be seen for this same reason but some such as those of Jupitor can be seen as they are a black mark when you see Jupiter through a telescope.

Anything we can see is visible because it affects the light coming to our eyes from that direction. Other planets and moons can reflect sunlight towards us, and even if they're in the wrong place to reflect sunlight they can still block out the stars behind them and be visible that way.

There is only one moon, it and the various planets we can see with the naked eye are visible because of two things, 1) they reflect light from the sun and 2) we have light receptors in our heads (our eyes)

The sunlight is reflected off the planets and moon to make us see what we see in the sky. If we were on Mars, Earth would look just like a planet (a tiny dot in sky).

Because they are close enough to be seen! By the way, our moon is the only satellite we can see with the naked eye. Any other planet's moons requires a telescope. Actually you can see Jupiter's 4 largest moons (Io, Ganymede, Callisto, Europa) with a 20x50 pair of binoculars.

Planets in our solar system are illuminated by our sun as is our moon.
The twinkling things you see in a night sky are suns which are producing their own light we call them stars.
