usually the first day of your missed period, but with new (more sensitive) pregnancy tests, sometimes you can test positive up to four days beforehand. But just because you get a negative result in advance of your period being due, it doesn't necessarily mean you're not pregnant. You will then need to test again and will either get your period in a few days or a positive test next time.

It's typically around your first missed menstrual cycle because at that time you have built up enough of the hormone which is what the home testing pregnancy kits are testing for. A blood test can tell faster, if you go to the dr.

Some of the tests now you can test a day or 2 before your missed period, but to make sure the HCG levels are high enough i would wait until you actually miss a period to test. Good luck!

Well i would wait for 2 weeks after your missed period. Because last week in was only 8 days late and i took a test and it was negative. So instead of wasting my dam money on the home pregancy test. im going to wait for my 2 weeks.

For me with both of my babies it took about 2-3 weeks after conception for the test to come out positive

To get the maximum result, you are advised to take the test after 2 weeks you miss your period. By then, the hormones should reflect the best result!
