I don't think classic movies should be remade. The reason they're classics is because they can't be topped. They should remake movies that didn't quite work.

Like the Charlton Heston film "The Omega Man." That's a great idea for a movie about the last man on earth battling vampires. It didn't quite work in the Heston version. I'm glad they're remaking it now as "I Am Legend" with Will Smith. The director of Constantine is doing it and with today's special effects, it should be good.

The Ten Commandments

Director: Martin Scorsese
Moses: Robert De Niro
Rameses: Mel Gibson
Nefretiri: Jodie Foster
Dathan: Robin Williams
Sephora: Nicole Kidman

with the modern technologies, the movie would be incredibly spectacular with these faces

I really like old movies, the classics. Only a few that were remade are better...like Cape Fear.
"Actors" today are nowhere near as good as the true actors of long ago.
However, I do think a remake of "The Ghost and Mrs. Muir" could be pretty good if Hollywood wouldn't f*uk it up.

Always disappointed with remakes, think they should remake some modern movies back into classic style.
Like Star wars I, II & III, they sucked. Modern graphics is no substitute for good story lines and character development.

Gone with the Wind
Just think it would be cool with todays actors

The good the Bad and the Ugly
Same reason as above

The Great Escape and Escape to Victory
This would look excellent with a decent budget

Just hope they wouldn't blow it a la the Psycho remake

The Swimmer - it was a Burt Lancaster film from the late 60s. Fantastic stuff, a bit surreal and very much of the time. It's never had the recognition it deserved, but maybe a remake might ruin my memory of it!

None. Classics should be left alone and never tampered with.
