That if I see you when I'm on my bike you don't mind if ride alongside you, punch in your window and take your phone and ram it so far into your ear that your eyeballs light up when it rings again.

NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO

Even using hands free or bluetooth is a distraction. Which might seem a bit odd but I know that even using bluetooth is distracting some how its not the same as having a conversation with someone with you in the car.

IN the UK the penalties for mobile use while driving are due to be increased soon. You will get 3 points and up to £1000 fine. I'm not sure when but it is coming.
Surely the fact that you asked this question should tell you something???

Personally if you do not have a blue tooth or hands feree phone then no please it is an accident waiting to happen, And I believe in some states it is agaainst the law and should be. I pull over if the call is important otherwise I wait.

why take the risk? surely the phone call can wait? or is it so important that you not only put your life in danger, but someone elses. just think, take your eyes of the road for a second and you plough your car into a woman who is pushing her pram on the pavement......just because you are to impatient to wait till it is safe to take the call.

No, in the UK and Ireland thats a fine plus points on your licence, plus your more likely to crash = same risk as being just over the drink drive limit.

Not unless you're using a handsfree kit or bluetooth headset. Really you shouldn't do it at all, it's apparently more dangerous than driving while drunk and you wouldn't want someone's death on your hands would you?
