why would you compress c drive and what would happen if you did?

If you are low on space and don't want to buy another hard drive, you can compress the files to save room...but, this will make accessing the data take longer and would therefore affect your computer's speed.

it would decrease the size of your stored information but it would slow down your computer cause then it would have to decompress them to read them.
