Is your router brand should have a downloadable utility that helps identify the PC's and notebooks that are linked through the router. I have a Linksys Wireless-N router and Adapter Card and was experiencing the same problem. At least once a week both of the notebooks kept losing the link to the router. I downlowded the Linksys Easylink Advisor (for Linksys products only) on all 3 computers on the network. I made sure the router identifies each one by its Computer Name (Found by right clicking the MY Computer icon and choosing properties). I had to do this on each computer but now the link is strong and stays connected. No more lost links or low signal strengths.
Here are links to Linksys and NetGear. If you don't have either of these then go to the website for the router brand you own ;)

Are you using a wi-fi connection for your laptop? If ever, the cause why you keep on loosing your connection is that the frequency of the signals is affected by the loud sounds you create. Lessen your sounds else you can use a head phones for connection convenience. E-mail if you still have connection problems.

You might try updating the drivers for the laptop's wireless network card. If you post the make and model someone can post a URL to the latest drivers.

i could first attempt to run a diagnostic on the equipment. I even have a stressed out & on the spot Cisco router and it has that characteristic. it could desire to be a twine that became no longer crimped to the plug appropriate (i.e. the twine became no longer stripped adequate). additionally verify with the provider and have them run a attempt on your line. I even have an identical concern with Cox Cable and at nighttime I in many cases won't be able to connect. Their topics could be a line became by twist of fate decrease, they're doing artwork or working diagnostics at that factor, climate topics etc.
