Oh, your poor baby. You too. When our little ones hurt we hurt.

Put her on clear liquids. Pedialyte, tea, sprite. No milk products. Wash her rash area with clear cool water and a really, really soft cloth. Be gentle, it hurts. Fan it dry. Then apply diaper ointment. I use Desitin. Put on lots, it will keep the acid from getting to it.

If she is not better in about two days--take her to the doctor. Watch her for listlessness. You know you baby best. If you think she is not being her normal self. Go to the doctor.

If possible: after every poopy diaper change let her sit in a bath with some baking soda or oatmeal. It will neutrilize the acid. Otherwise try to do it at least once or twice a day.

Breastmilk on the bottom will help too (let it dry a bit before putting the diaper on).

Antacids such as milk of magnesia ON the bum can help too.

I have also heard eggwhites, beaten until frothy put on the bum and allowed to dry works really well. Never tried it though.

Thick layer of vaseline OVER a diaper cream?

You should not be putting this off. Make this a priority. Take your 9 month daughter to the doctor a.s.a.p. Give her pedialite and lots of water so she will not dehydrate. Diaherria is a sign of infection. Hope she gets better.

Rash ointment for the rash, and just give her some pedialyte... You don't want her to dehydrate.. If it doesn't get any better than you might want to call the Doc..

I advise you to go doc as the situation can turn serious if she is not attended. For rashes, try to wash her whenever she poos instead of wiping her with papers. Apply rashes cream after each change. Cut down her consumption of formula temporarily and replace with watery cereals instead.
