Bush senior didn't command an invasion of Iraq for a very good reason. Why didn't Bush jr. just ask his dad about Iraq instead of twisting intelligence to suit the justification of the war? Now Bush jr. will go down in history as the worst president in U.S. history all because he didn't ask his dad why he didn't invade Iraq.

Bush Jr. felt he was asserting his independence by submitting to the influence and control of a group his dad didn't agree with: the neocons and Dick Cheney.

Bush thinks of himself as infallible, therefore he needs no other advice. George Bush Sr. did not go to Baghdad because of the fear it would de-stabilize the region. That is the reason he gave to the media. It was sound reasoning and his son should have taken a lesson from his own family's history book.

Bush Jr. also tried unsuccessfully to link Iraq to the attacks of 9/11. It has been shown repeatedly that Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11, and NO connection at all to Osama bin laden or Al Quada.

The United States is less safe from terrorism today than before the attracts of September 11. The war in Iraq has bolstered Al Quada, given them a new home and a daily and very effective recruiting poster. People should not feel we are safe just because there has been no attack since 9/11. It was 8 years between the first attack on the Trade Center in 1993 and the second in 2001. Al Quada will attack again, with renewed hatred for the U.S.

Why didn't the former head of the CIA (Bush Sr) inform his moron son that he had intel that could have helped him in that situation? It's like all he CAN do is keep secrets (ie Iran-Contra, etc.). I agree that Jr is a baaaaaaad pres. He spent the first 6 months of his alleged presidency pissing the rest of the world off. He's got no right acting like 9-11 was a surprise!

Mama (Barbara) Bush said it all during an interview about 4 years ago.

You see the president was on camera with both his parents on his "LEFT" side.

The commentator asked Daddy (George) Bush if he had much influence on Sonny boy, but Mama Bush wouldn't allow Daddy Bush to answer the question.

She spoke up really quickly, with the "glare of a bull moose" in her eyes, and said "Junior takes all his advice from me, so in effect, I am really running the country."

Need I say more?

Because Bush jr is the president and not his dad.

Why do you blame Bush?
It is only muslims fighting muslims in Iraq.

Bush may be wrong because I see that he had to go to war against Iran and not Iraq. Iran poses a bigger threat to world peace.

Because Dad did a poor job in the first war. Had he actually taken Baghdad in 1991, the world would be a much better place today.
