I always give credit where credit is due. He is a great athlete and wide receiver. I never denied that. I wouldn't go so far as to say he is the best in the league however he is definitely at the top. Unfortunately, he has a mouth and attitude on him that he should lose. I agree with you that the media blows things out of proportion however he started it all back in San Francisco with his showboating antics and with all the problems he caused due to his attitude. The media feeds off of this and now they will report every little thing he does. But if he never would have drawn attention to himself in the first place, he would be a very well-respected athlete. And his ego is way bigger than his abilities. He knows he is good but prove it on the field and keep it there. I think he likes the media attention and when things quiet down around him, he comes up with something else. Like this recent spitting incident. Regardless of whether that happened or not, it is un-called for and very unsportsmanlike. I dislike T.O. for the problems he causes but can't deny he is a good athlete. If only he could put his attitude and ego aside and concentrate more on the field, he could very well become the best.

Well you gotta be honest, he brings it upon himself. I do agree that the media is all over his every move, but he should be fully aware of that. In life the only thing that really tells the true story are patterns. If this had all been happend with ONE team maybe I would say, ok, he isnt like by his teammates for some reason and maybe things are getting turned around. But this is the 3rd team he has had controversy on now.

All in All things are going well in DAllas right now for TO as compared to Philly and SanFran. I think Parcells has done a good job controlling him, and as long as he keep scoring I have no problem with him at all. Then again, I dont share a locker room with him either.

If you like his talent, you are probably not alone. He is a talented wide receiver. However, he is a colossal a**hole. He has no respect for anyone. He does not respect his coaches or his teammates. He has a need for attention that apparently is not met by being an All-Pro wide receiver. I could not cheer for him if he were on my team, in fact, I would have to consider finding a new team if mine decided to sign him. He is symptomatic with what is wrong with sports today. Nothing he does is overblown by the media because everything he does is overblown by the media. You can't blame the media for the negative attention Owens gets because he covets the attention. In my opinion, his talent level does not offset his personality flaws.

First of all, Shane K, he DID NOT try to kill himself. And to think that he did makes you a MORON.
Secondly, the man is talented. That can not be disputed. I don't care if he does lead the league in dropped passes or not, he is still a vital part of the offense.
I could care less what a player does off the field, the media should report and then move on and talk about something more worthwhile.
On the field, I love him when he catches the ball. Off the field, I wouldn't give him a second look.

I like him as a PLAYER, because he represents my team, but as a person and the things he does for attention, I really think deep down he wants to be love and respected as he had a rough childhood and he has stated things in interviews I've heard that he seeks attention, empathy, and probably does not have alot of supportive people in his life. Take a look at his incidents this year.

Lance Armstrong imitation- riding exercise bike,
as he WANTED attention becuase he was not on the field getting it.

Suicide attempt- More publicy to see if anyonme cared about him
He also stated he did not receive any empathy from Bill Parcells about this incident in which he told Mike Irvin on ESPN.

HE'S A GREAT PLAYER BUT A DRAMA QUEEN HE NEEDS ATTENTION TO FUNCTION.

Stupid things he's done for attention:

1) wore the team discovery outfit while riding the stationary bike at practice during the offseason while nursing a hammey injury

2) attempted to kill himself by overdosing on pain killers

3) spit in DeAngelo Hall's face

the one GOOD thing he did was support Vanderjagt when he was cut, but i'm assuming he only did that in spite of bill parcells...

Terrell owens is less than human....he is scum

I love T.O. He definatly has the second best pair of hands in the NFL next to the great Ocho Cinco. Personally, i find his "bad" attitude funny as hell. Then when he finally hits his "good" attitude he's the greatest.
