The purpose of which we have existance.

In simpler terms, 42, or (6x7), obviously.

6x5+b=42

b = to annoy dummies on Yahoo! Answers, or 12.

80% of humanity, the religious folks, don't need to ask the meaning of life, the church tells them....the supernatural explanation. But the rest of us can't swallow religious dogma, because there's no evidence. Nobody can prove that there life after death, that people are tortured or rewarded after life or that there's invisible spirits running around.

I've come to two conclusions recently:

1. Life has no meaning
2. Life has a million meanings.

First, there's a certainty that death and annihilation awaits not only you, but the Earth in general. It's an astonomical certainty that our sun will supernova and leave the earth a burnt crisp, not to mention all the other extinction level events around the corner.

Second, the million things that give us meaning are the pleasurable experiences we can conjure up during the short period we are here on the earth, in the form of the relationships we have with our kids and other people, and the 'housekeeping' types of purposes. What i mean by that are the curing disease, ending hunger, improving literacy, reducing crime, preventing war, helping other kinds of things.

So the bottom line is, we only have a temporary meaning to life, to reduce pain and increase pleasure, other than that everything is lost to oblivion.

This question has been asked by the great Greek philosophers in about six hundred B.C. and by millions of others ever since. When will we ever get to the end of it.
Answer - - - Life simply means the absence of death. When you see a squirrel mashed on the road and is not moving, it is dead. Before the car hit it, it had life.
If it's difficult for you to determine, look for movement. Usually things that move have life - - - except for a neighbor of mine. He has life but not much movement.

If we take all the knowledge available to us all, we then can make a good assessment in an attempt to answer your question.
When the big bang happened, the known Universe began, all those billions of years have passed, today, as an intelligent species on a planet orbiting a single star which is situated in the outer spirals of our galaxy containing billions of stars, further more there are billions of galaxies.
We now have to stretch our primitive brains to try and come to grasp the reality of what this means.
we are lucky to be born in a World where we are the most intelligent species,on a favourable planet with a good chance of having a life.
So, considering that we do not have a decision in our birth and are all guaranteed to die, it is in our genetic interest to ensure that we have a very fruitful life and remember that in the scheme of things our lives are but a nano second of time.
Now take time to digest what you have just read.
In order to achieve a good life for us all in a chaotic World is to strive to keep us and our planet in a viable state for as long as we can, to help us to do this, life experience has taught me to love, respect and have the hope, the faith of our convictions until we die.
The most important question, is WHY!!
I believe that this very short life of ours is in order that we learn as much as we can for our next life, which is for eternity, A VERY VERY LONG TIME!!.

Not everything has meaning, look at all the empty planets out there... while some have meaning others do not. We got lucky and evolved on a planet what can support beings such as ourselves. Perhaps the only meaning in life is to admire the wonders of the universe, to be here in this moment - for if we weren't here, who or what else would?

There is no meaning, as life wasn't 'meant' to be, life simply happened from chemical reactions. We are lucky however, to have evolved to be what we are today, and therefore should enjoy the lives we have and ensure that future lives can enjoy their lives on this planet as we do now.

Please listen carefully. In life there are no accidents, no coincidences. The life you live right now is the life you choose to live. The meaning you are searching for comes down to this. You were put here for a reason, the reason is one that will become obvious to you, IF YOU PAY ATTENTION. Whatever that reason is, it is just for you, to live and fulfill. If you are looking for out of this world answers, there are not any. You can listen to the selfish crowd who will tell you "to do whatever you want to do and please your self". But that is not why you asked this question. You asked it because there is a void in you that you are trying to fill. You are very intelligent. You think of such things and you ponder on them. Pay attention to circumstances in your life as they unfold, the answer is coming. If you have a chance to, please go to a video store and rent a tape called "What the bleep do we know?" It will AMAZE YOU, and it will answer allot of your questions. Take care.

to me the meaning of life is reproduction, not the pervert way but to continue and make man kind live forever, if we was placed here to do something its to produce babies to carry on the world around, keeping it safe and secure for which ever god lives above, we're all slaves making the world turn.

at the end of the day all people have the same thing in life whether your a billionaire, famous, average or homeless

"we're all in debt, we're given a life but we all owe a death"

harsh but true, money cant buy eternity, but being human can reproduce to turn the world.

Meaning of life is life.

Seriously though, the meaning is self discovery/completion - to know thy self. All of life is evolving from the alpha of ignorance to the omega of knowing/completion.
