can being on the pill affect the results?

and how long does it usually take from the time you become pregnant before you can test positive?

no. the test looks for a horomone call hcg. it is not in birth control pill. the only way to get that horomone is to be pregnant. if you take a test and you are pregnant go to the doctor .they will give you a blood test to make sure. if you are or think you are stop taking the pill. don't have unprotected sex and take a test. good luck.

Not at all - the urine test is designed to show a positive if it detects a certain pregnancy hormone, which won't be produced unless you're actually pregnant. The birth control pill does nothing to interfere with this. If you think that you are pregnant, you should stop taking the pill - it can hurt the baby.

If you are pregnant the result will be positive pills will not effect the result.

You can take pregnancy test on the first day of missed period

nope, the only thing that can affect the results of a pregnancy test is if you are taking hormones to get pregnant. Then you can get a false positive.

No...the pregnancy test is designed to detect the HCG hormone, which is only produced when pregnancy has occurred. The hormone in birth control pills is not the same.

No reason to take a pregnancy test when you are on the pill.

No. Fertility drugs containg hormones do, though. Birth controls pills don't.

Not at all. Only things like fertility drugs will effect it because they effect the pregnany hormone... Good luck ladies!
