well u see they dont see it that way.to them calling us crackers etc is not racist but oh my god if you say nigeria then they go wild sayin racist.thats always the first word commin out of there mouth.oh u fired me cuz im racist.no i fired you cuz u dont work. not all black people act like that but the ones that do basicly cover up all the good back people. usually the ones that do this grow in the ghetto. they think the world owes them for what our ancestors did and thats there excuse. if u ask them to something like"can u throw this away" it comes out what am i your slave racist. i just dont see why they can call us crackers honkey whitey but yet anything we do is racist. call me racist if you cuz im sure you will but i have alot of black friends that are mad about what they call ghetto trash and say that people like that make people think allk blacks are like that. but there not.there are many more nice black people than ghetto trash its just black people that are nice dont stand out like the ones that dont shut up but there is also white trash to. why cant people learn theres two groups of people.trash and good.there are many colors in both groups and it is not more of one color than the other and even if you grow up in a bad area you can be good and same the other way around,.and the last thing id like to say is im tired about hearing the past. i know that it was wrong for our ancestors to treat blacks like that but guess what i cant change what they did. and believe it or not there were manypeople against having slaves in the past.so why should i have to pay for what my ancestors did.its not my fault. so what you think that since your ancestors were treated bad you should be able to do the same. so basically your saying it wasnt alright for my ancestors to do it but since they did we should be able to do it now. its not how things should work.everybody should be treated the same.sure theres always going to be some ignorant person out there. and i have one last question. how come when a black person is being racist its called reverse discrimination. isnt discrimination prejudice against any one color.

I'll tell you why there's a "double standard" today. For years and years before, whites were getting away scot free with trodding on the rights of minorities and treating non-whites (i.e blacks) without any respect or dignity. The history of the United States of America is a perfect example of this. Heck, in the United States at one point, blacks weren't even considered citizens. Now that all that's ended, I think that there is now an attitude of having zero tolerance for any type of white racism, and becasue of that, now blacks and other minorities get away with saying things that no white person could say without getting burned at the stake. In other words, they cut the minorities some slack. Is it an ideal situation? No its not. But perhaps if whites didn't get on the way that they did in the past, there wouldn't be a double standard and instead, ANY racism from ANY ethnic or racial groups would be totally unacceptable. Unfortunately, that's not the case. And I agree with you, some blacks can be more racist that whites at times, particularly in America. I think that it's kind of a retaliation thing, where some blacks think "you were nasty to me in the past, so I'm going to be nasty to you back" or "I'll hurt you before you hurt me." And names like cracker and cocoa puff and n*****, and whitey, are offensive to any normal person. No one wants to be called outside of their name, right? I agree that people should talk more openly about these things, its the only way that problems could have any chance of getting solved.

Actually, on this site, in particular, there are more white perpetrators who spew rants compared to blacks. I'm not sure of your nationality but some people tend to side with their own in these situations. I'm even guilty of it, but i'm in an interracial relationship and have a child so my view is more open than some. Anyway, I think people need to practice common sense sometimes. People tend to act totally clueless like "why can't I say that?" Why do you have to? Why benefit does that do for the greater good for someone to be able to call someone a derrogatory name. It's childish and totally pointless.

This isn't grade school. People are adults and we should know by now that tact and consideration are very important traits to possess in the real world. I don't give a rat's butt if you think it, just don't say it. Pretty simple.

No one can offend another. A person must choose to be offended.

So I suppose there are people who have chosen to be offended no matter what their skin color happens to be.
