Football season ended a bout 2 months ago and I was one of the greatest quaterbacks on the team. Towards the eand of the season, I got swithced to 1rst string to 2nd. I didn't know why. My coach had me follow him into the weight room, he weighed me and I found out I put on 20 pounds during the season, thats why I was slowing down. I couldn't make it to most of the practices or workout dates so i wasn't very active except for the games. should I go out for football next season? Our school doesnt have an off season training period so I cant work out then and we don't have a gym in town and i'm not the running type. I amnow 220 pounds of fat and 5'8. the coach made us keep our pants from last season, towards the end of the year I couldn't play because 2 games because my pants wouldn't fit. What should I do about all this??

If you really like football then you shouldn't need a gym to get into shape. Workout at home and watch what you eat.

start running, for a couple weeks just run for 2 mins then walk for 3 mins do this 5 times, then after a souple weeks run 3 mins and walk 2 mins do this 5 times, then after a couple weeks, start runnning for 25 mins, then gradually increase your distance up to 4 miles, starting at 2, then 2.5 then 3 then four..... trust me it will work and you will lose the weight then just work on your arm reading defenses

If you don't go to practice you should not get to play. Who do you think you are T.O.? And don't eat so much junk food. You can do push ups and sit ups for free on the ground.
