I would probably stick to 1. Their tummies are sooo sensitive and you don't want to create problems.

When i tried to switch my kids to a different formula, they did not like it, and got very colicy from it. Also they spit up a lot with it. All i was trying to do was switch from similac neosure advance which is for premature babies, to the regular similac. My kids were never able to for some reason. I wouldn't switch if you didn't have to just in case. The nutrients arent exactly the same from one brand to the next. If you do want to switch to a brand more easily found, make it extremely gradual. Mix old formula with new but i wouldn't change anything until you talk to your Dr. Good luck!

i think it's best to shop around even if it's a higher price. or get enough to last at the higher price at another store to last a few days and check back with the place you usually buy from. you shouldnt be changing the baby's formula unless the baby's doctor has been consulted first. they start babies on certain formula's based on need when they are born and adjust accordingly in the next few weeks.

well, as long as it's soy and soy or regular and regular.
i use regular good start with DHA and ARA with iron. my dr said that i could give my son the same thing but different brand every day if i wanted to and it won't make a difference.
some parents swear that their kid does better with enfamil than similac etc....however, i took the time to compare the labels and they are soooo close in ingredients and nutritional content that they are virtually the same thing.
so, if the store is out of your brand then, buy the same type (soy, iron free etc) in a different brand.
then, switch back when you find more of your normal brand.

take care:)

You can but it may upset your babies tummy. This happened to my son and he got really bad gas and stomach pains and would cry a lot if I used another brand. So now I stick to one brand.

It is ok that you can find different formula in the supermarket and your baby is used to it. There should be no problem if your baby does not suffer from any diarrahea, vomitting or constipation.
