It's Bush's fault, President Bush does not care about Australian animals!

I read the article and it makes me wonder. There was a study on the forest fires in North America. It seems that we are part of the problem. At one time, forest fires were so frequent that it would keep the underbrush burned away and not get hot enough to catch the trees on fire. Once the forest service started meddling with mother nature, they would put out the fire before it had a chance to burn the underbrush. The pine needles and debris started piling up which was just more fuel for the fire when a fire happened, insuring the flames would be hotter and more damage would be done when a fire did break out.

Has the same thing happened in the Australian bush? Have they interfered with the natural balance so that in the event of droughts, there is more fuel available to make the carnage more complete in bush fires?

El Nino is part of a cyclic weather pattern that was discovered once satellites were launched and the surface sea temperatures could be measured. It is something that has existed all along. The drawback of El Nino is that Australia gets less rainfall due to the weather pattern. This aggravates the potential for bush fires.

There are far better cases for "advancing the global warming charge" than this. However, keep in mind that there 'is' a huge hole in the ozone layer that sits right over Australia which has come from pollution caused by all industrialized nations. Regardless, if you think ignoring this situation because you can construe it as a left wing plot, then you are one callous mother ******.

Bush believes in global warming. Are you calling your president a liar?

Suggesting that essentially every scientist is part of some liberal conspiracy isn't really the most tenable position. Particularly when Bush has stated outright that global warming is real, and humans are causing it.

The main steam media are really corporate controlled. This means there's a heavy Republican influence. When it comes to global warming, however, they go with the majority of scientists who say that does, indeed exist, and that much of the warming effect is due to man made emissions.

What's got being aware of scientific facts other than the few outside theses who claim global warming is not man-made to do with "liberalism" used as a derogative term?

Keep your head nicely buried, but stop being proud of it!
