Unless you live close to a terrestrial repeater (usually in large metro areas) then most likely no. Indoor users are typically instructed to use the device close to a window. I'd buy a radio from Best Buy and not activate it. Just chrage it up and tune to the preview channel. You can hear it even without activating. Then take the radio to that building you'd use it in most and see if you can get a signal. If you can't get a decent enough one then take it back to the store for a full refund.

An option for you may be the Sirius Stiletto 100 which incorporates WiFi access so if you have a wireless router you can use that to stream the Sirius audio live onto the device if you can't get a decent signal indoors. The battery also lasts longer in WiFi mode. Worst case scenario, the portable satellite radios offer playback of recorded audio so you could set it up to record a few hours of programming overnight and listen to that during the time you're in this cinder block building.
