They do this without shame. http://www.uuforum.org/deficit.htm
If you click on the chart, you can see that Clinton, hands down, had the best record on the economy of any recent President. "It's the economy stupid." During his term they actually ran a spectacular surplus and started paying down the debt. Then Dubbya came in and has had the worst record of any recent President. All this from "conservatives" who are financially responsible! This bunch is bankrupting the country while their friends are feeding at the US Treasury trough to the tune of billions per month. Then, without shame, they handed the democrats an undone budget so they will have to try to fix this mess the Republicans have created. But,it has not just been Republicans over the years. Congressmen seem to believe that because they will not be around, they can party now and leave the bill to our children. That is quite a tradition for public servants, but as it has been said, we have the best Congress money can buy. It is remarkable that the three worst presidents handling the economy by far were all Republicans; Reagan, Bush Sr. and Bush Jr.

1) I didn't vote for the current administration
2) I'm just as worried as you are. I have 11 grandkids that will have to foot this bill. We didn't have this problem 8 years ago.
3) George Bush has painted himself into a corner and is now trying to climb the walls to get out. I hate terrorism, but don't see that we'll get any valvue for the money already spent.
4) I don't apologize to future generations of Americans for actions I was powerless to stop.

Sometimes I get this feeling that it's not necessary to take that much from us. I have this feeling that some of the guys working in the House is earning more money than usual through our increased tax.
Instead of apologizing I'd rather have them repay for their actions.

The national debt is a national disgrace... the only good thing is that our kids can bail to another country and not take it with them..
(to a country with no reciprocal tax treaty).

Well, if we eliminated all the unConstitutional (i.e. ILLEGAL)spending - Social Security, Medicare, Education, etc - we could pay that off in a few short years, since the Constitutional (i.e. LEGAL) outlays of the federal government constitute much less than 50% of the $2.4 trillion annual budget.

Works for me! Let's do it! You obviously must support this action, right?
