It doesn't actualy rot your brain. However, it has been shown that your brain is very inactive while watching TV. Of course, I disagree with the generality of this. I think that your brain is pretty active when you are watching educational channles and certain game shows that require thinking.

depends on what shows you are watching like if watch shows like csi and law and order then your brain will be working and not rot and i hear that if you day dream it helps your brain not to shrink
