As a true Christian, I reject and dislike any holiday based on lies and pagan traditions, just as Jesus does. These include Christmas, Easter, Halloween and Valentines day.

I dread Christmas every year. When I was a kid I spent Christmas Eve in the back of my dad's Dodge Charger with my brother praying to God that we didn't get killed because my dad was sooooo hammered at the wheel. Now that I'm older, I have these crazy in-law's who have these expectations that are so annoying. We are having a party at our house for the whole family on Saturday, 12/23 and they are asking if we are going here on Christmas Eve and there on Christmas Day. Hello.....that's the whole point of our party. So, yes. I have to say that Christmas pretty much sucks.

I can't say that I hate Christmas, but I can understand why the holiday is stressful for some folks.

With all of the commercialism in our society, it takes the true meaning away.

When you have kids, I think the pressure is greater. I love the holiday in general but try not to let the retail industry take over.

I love the holiday season, however, I hate how commercialized it has become. All about gifts and selfishness. It has nothing to do with Santa. And it is very disturbing to me that people put so much emphasis on Santa, what about all of the children that do their best in school with their grades and their behaviors. However, their parents are unable to afford the finer things in life. And on Christmas morning they are left with nothing under the tree. Simply because there is no fat jolly white man giving away nothing. i have always taught my children the meaning of Christmas is the birth of Jesus. And we should acknowledge the gift he gave us by coming into the world and dieing for us so that we can have a chance at eternal life in heaven with God .God bless****

If we let Christmas become only a time of buying gifts for more money then we can afford and go into debt. Or when we feel pressured to buy gifts for people we barely like then it is a time for stress that you can end up paying for for months. When we realize it is a time to celebrate our Savior's birth to save us from our sins and making a way for us to live a happy and fulfilled life then we will be less stressed and filled with joy. Don't let pressure make you feel stressed. would you go to a birthday party with only a gift for You? Lets keep Christ-mas Christ centered and it will be a joyous occasion.
