should people boycott thomson holidays in protest at their laying off 500 staff in glasgow, and a further 2600 to follow this year? these job losses are due to losses at the parent company's (tui) shipping division, and not poor performance on the staff's part.

If companies are sent a message that their customers find their policies of putting profit before people, and firing UK workers because our employment laws are easier to get around than other european companies, to be unacceptable, they will think twice before doing it again
