If you know the "frogs in the well" you will know today`s world leaders. They have become world leaders of their very small narrow world and they extrapolate this exponentially . If they serve at all they serve their small interested group. That is all.
Today`s political leaders have become all powerful and all the other leaders on the other spheres have become subservient to the political bullies.
in my opinion the new truly emerging world leaders are and will be spiritual leaders and thinkers. They will be the true servers and they will lift the average.

There are usualy 2 main powers in any community or nation :
1-The People , 2-The governament
and you can add to those 2 other powers sometimes
3-The powerfull Corporations/business community , 4-Foreign manipulative powers.
The ideal function of a governament in a perfect society is to serve the people. But corruption can occur (Governament serving itself and the goals of its members as a first priority) or you can have a puppet governament(one that serves The corporations) or you might even have treason(governament or busines community serving a foreign power.
So, as long as the governament serves the poeple everything is OK. To achieve this, the poeple should be stronger than the governament(i.e have a functional democracy) . But even so, the people should always be aware, because the other three powers are always trying to rip them out of their power. It is a continious struggle between those 4 forces, and the stronnger and more aware force wins.

99.4% of the worlds leaders are only out for the pure power of it and don't give a crap about the common person. Celebrities are like that too.

Leaders are usually bosses who are supposed to serve the interests of their group.
They are bosses of the people and servants of the people's interests.

They are supposed to serve but in the end, they serve only their greed, ambition, and lust.
