Some people do sleep with their eye's open

When humans are awake, light enters the eye and produces an image in the brain. When we sleep, we need to close our eyes so that our brain can slow down. Keeping our eyes open would allow for images to produce, causing the brain to continue to work.

Some people do sleep with their eyes opened but these are few. I guess its only natural that we sleep with our eyes closed so that we will not be 'perturbed' by the things we see. Our bodies needs to rest and relax fully!

I do sleep with my eyes open, as most people do. If you sleep in the dark, your eyes are open, you just don't realize it because you are asleep.

Some people do. My daughters eyes always end up wide open after being asleep for about 15 minutes. It is creepy, but she really is completely asleep.

When you sleep, your whole body goes under a recharging period and all your body parts slow down and your eyelids droop too.
o your eyes close when you sleep because of the eyelids taking a break from blinking.

because if you eyes are open you are not slepping.
when you are sleeping your eyes need to be shut so that you lens and you brain can rest.

Im not sure but that would be so odd I mean you could be getting stared at by someone who was asleep thats kinda scary
