I am trying to update a webpage. I am not the original webmaster though, how can I update the webpage? Do I need to get access or what? Please help.

i am presuming you have complete access

if that is the case use an 'FTP' programme ( if you have ftp access ) like http://www.smartftp.com/

you will need your domain name, your username and password that you host gave you...
