It just means we have alot to be grateful for. If you feel guilty then do something about it like making donations or doing volunteer work.

The lack of thought for our starving neighbours is the result of a self-serving, consumerist driven economic society, me-me-me lifestyles. We should return to a more humanistic and holistic way of thinking, where good deeds are valued more than monetary awards.

When we cant touch pple in person its the prayers that we say helps..becos some of us r gifted we have 3 good meals a day, but not everyone is as fortunate. There are some things we can do to help..maybe give some money fr salary to the organisations where food can be sent to the poor or buy food for the poor & elder stuffering right infront of our eyes..it makes a difference to that particular person even if we cant help everyone. Best of all, every morning pray to God to look aft everyone not only our loved ones ;)

Your claim that billions cannot have two square meals a day is not supported by the facts. What you really need to examine is why you feel the need to play guilt trips on others. I suspect that you have some guilt that you haven't worked out yet. If so, you are being irresponsible by trying to misdirect your own attention away from what is your problem and not anyone else's.

I know where your coming from. There have been times when I was eating a meal and I felt mad for doing so, thinking about people on third world countries who may not get such luxury. We do care for them and with help them by donating canned foods, clothes and money to any organization that helps people in need. Also, if you believe in God (which I do), you can pray for them. Prayer is the best help anyone can get.

It depends. I have been donating some money to Charity Organizations that have been doing good work. I could have volunteered for Social Service but have quite busy schedule . Such feelings might be more appropriate to the conscience of those greedy , corrupt people who exploit poor people , pay them less and make them work a lot .You should not be worrying too much about this .Global or Local Poverty is not something which one individual can eradicate . This requires effort from whole community .

Yes, we do ! your very question has the answer. Not everyone can think like that, bcos v all grow in time. If others cannot think like this , it is not wrong, cos they need to grow. The harsh truth is YES, we need not enjoy the food, but eat it knowing fully well there are billions who cannot, just bcos we should survive to share what ever best we can with them. By this we can do our best, some can share with 1,2,3 or 4 and there are some who share it with millions depending on our capabilities. As humans we are born only to share with our fellow humans and other beings.

I do care for others and do more than my fair share of voluteer work and donations (both food and $$$) but I cannot be all things to all people. I enjoy my food that I have provided for my family through very hard work for us. That is my responsibilty. I feel good about the efforts I make in providing some relief for others.

Of course we should do care for others, but we can still enjoy our foods at the same time. We try to do the best we can, but this is how life is.

U can help the needy people by giving them alms. U should make it a point to contribute some amount of money to the needy every year. Then u can enjoy ur food knowing that u have done ur bit to help people.

do you think that by missing a meal yourself it will put food on other peoples plates? of course not. give a helping hand when you can but don't feel guilty because you can eat on a daily basis. there is no shortage of food on this planet, only a shortage of free enterprize combined with democracy. that's why we have such abundance in this country. eat up so the food doesn't spoil !
