In the states republicans repr the moral majority and the interests of all powerful corporations and multi-nationals... they have even been known to do the odd good thing for the american electorate when the planets are in alinement and the entrails of a mystic chicken look favourable.

In ulster Rebublicans worked nicely as moving targets for british troops needing wepons training...im sure the net accuracy of british infantry in the feild has dropped since the ceasefire in ulster... gettings mcguiness and adams to run around salisbury plain on there days off from spying on unionists and kneecapping their political opponants might be an idea... we miss having rabid pro vo's to shoot at.

Its worth noting that terms such as democrart , tory, republican is very "iffy" unless put in a temporal context... Reagan Republicans and thatcher tories represented the best of their
respec. breeds... bush en john major the worst. It would be great if one political denomination could be consistently what they proport to be... but thats a daydream.

In the context of ulster a sincere rebublican dedicated to peace would be a rare and wonderful thing... as uptill now all they are dedicated to is getting airtime on tv/radio and puffing up their ego's

I don't think they do but they are all wealthy so they must be doing something right. I guess their purpose is to create wealth. I just don't understand why politicians get paid full salary paychecks for the rest of their lives just because they held office for even just a single term. Imagine working only four years and then getting full pay for the rest of your life. What a set up.

By spending and investing, they help the economy like the rest of us. Some republicans are actually good and decent people. Just none of the lot that are in office right now.

It's not a question of Republican or Democrat or Independent opinions or policies. It's a matter of evil versus good. Only God is good therefore in all our political comings and goings we should seek only to do God's perfect will. Love your neighbour as... a Republican?... a Democrat?... an Independant?... or as yourself?

Typical leftist - sees no value in peoples' existance if they don't serve their political goals. It is typical of their disregard for life they consider inconvenient to their aims.

This is why leftist regimes, like the Nazis, the Soviets, the Maoists, etc. ended up murdering and imprisoning 10's of millions of their political opponents.
