After a 30 year relationship why would an ex-wife be so unforgiving to her ex-husband?

maybe he hurt her, and it affected her life, and made her bitter. if he cheated and betrayed her it is easy to see why she wouldn't want to forgive him, as it hurt her, and the dreams she had, the life she wanted were not able to happen, so her expectations were not met, and as a result it caused bitterness toward her ex, sometimes people don't forgive, sometimes there were just too many unresolved issues, with out anything ever getting worked out, so someone kept the unforgiveness inside.

It could be that you only see the surface. So many things happen over the years. I am speaking from experience...married 23 years then divorced. I don't have any ill feelings about my ex.......but I want to keep him my ex. But as I started to say.......many, many things happen that the outside people don't see.

It could be she has put up with lying, cheating, no affectionate times, excuses, different interests....too many to count.

Now after all those years, she wants to start feeling alive again.
