Some think they all died in the crash and this is like a test before they go to heaven or hell.

For those who have said that Lost isn't any good are wrong on some levels. The main weakness in Lost is that although it is great viewing, answers aren't always resolved making things frustrating for all viewers.

As for what is happening on the island, if you have seen the first two seasons, you will know how and why the plane crashed and the island, what is inside the Hatch and why it was there and what that is all about.

More about the "monster" is revealed early on in Season 3 and makes sense in the spring of things.

But the producers of the show have ruled out the theory that they are all dead.

Remember how Desmond tried to leave and just ended up back there? When the Others sent Michael off, they told him a compass heading to follow and he'd get out. The Others have contact with the outside world. Someone, I think it was either Ben or Desmond?, made a comment once about being in a snow globe. That makes the most sense to me. The electro magnetic whatchamacallit maybe created a bubble of some sort where no one can see them, they can't get out....

I think the writers are sortof making it up as they go along.

Have you been on a remote island for the past two and half years. The internet is overflowing with theories although no one but the writers knows exactly what is going on. That is the point, to watch each week and watch the story unfold.

The curioser it gets the better it gets! Just when I think of a theory something happens which makes it unlikely! I'ts definitely something to do with the magnetic field - but don't know what. Also Ben must be very significant - I think he is the only one who was born on the Island! Can't believe we now have to wait until February to see any more!!!!

dumb show. if u watch it you are lost. it will go down in histroy as the most discombobulated, inane, nonsenical, upside down, confusing, scriptless, wandering show to ever make prime time.

It's getting a bit daft now, i mean how long can you draw out a programme like that?
