i have had previous back problems, I am seeing a neurologist now going through many testas but cant sleep- at night

I have smiliar problems because of some neurological conditions and also from injuries from when I used to do pro-kickboxing.

Best thing is to contact your GP about it, and also, check your mattress, if it's too hard/soft, look into buying another one.

Some people believe that acupuncture could help this kind of thintg, but there's no scientific basis for this, and it costs a bomb too.

You may also find it helpful if you wear a weightlifting belt or back support if you do any heavy lifting, or physically demanding work.

Could be sciatica. The sciatic nerve runs from your lower back down your butt/hips and back of your legs. Very painful at times. Take some Aleve before you go to bed. Also make sure you are flipping and rotating your mattress every couple of months.

well in over worked, over weight people who have worn disc's in thier lower back pinch and rub wich sometimes pinches certain nerves wich will send shooting pains down through your but and down the back of your leg...could be other problems aswell..but i deal with this same problem. my lower disc;s are worn
