i would just like to know what the symptoms for this are, whether it causes negative test results and if you still have periods. Also does this mean u lose the baby cos it has nowhere to grow.

You would normally get a positive test result. The symptoms, if you get any would be awful pain in your lower tummy. Ectopic pregnancies are identified early because of this. Unfortunately you would miscarry the pregnancy as the embryo wouldn't have the space to develop properly. It is rare and i hope you are not going through this. Best of luck x

It should still show as a positive result.
99.9% of times you will lose the baby or rather you will have to have it aborted as it can burst your falopien tubes which can actually cause death to youtoo if not treated very very quickly.
The symptoms include pain, normally in one side but you might have normal pregnancy symptoms such as sickness etc.
By 10 weeks if the baby is eptopic you are in serious trouble as this is when things normally start going very wrong but its normally picked up way before then.
I was told my daughter may have been eptopic (luckily after tests she wasnt!) and my doctor asked if when i lay down i get pain at the back of my shoulders. This is also a sign as for some reason when you lay down if you get pain in your shoulder while having pain in your tummy area it can be a sign on internal bleeding. I had never heard of this before though so was a bit of a suprise. I thought he was pulling my leg.
You may find if you think you may have an eptopic pregnany that you will go to your gp and they will send you for an internal scan to see where the baby is positioned.
Good luck.
Just to let you know there have been cases of eptopic pregnancies going full term and baby and mum being fine but it is rare.

An ectopic can result in negative tests, but not always. If you have an ectopic pregnancy, you shouldn't get a period.
Unfortunately it is not possible to save an ectopic pregnancy. The best they can do is try to save your tube.
If you think you have an ectopic pregnancy it is important to see a doctor immediately because they are very dangerous and the quicker you get to a doctor the more likely they can save your tube which increases the chance of future pregnancy.

Symptoms are different from everyone. I was took to A&E one night and had really bad stomach cramps, it was like very VERY bad period pains, and i was shaking and couldnt walk i was in that much pain. Also, if you have blood in your urine or any bleeding in that area at all. The doctors thought I was having an etopic pregnancy so they did all sorts of tests on me...but turns out it was a bladder infection. But i guess these are the sympotoms if thats what the doctors thought was wrong with me.

the signs of a tubal pregnancy are... all the normal signs of pregnancy but with pains usually on one side of your lower abdomen, light bleeding or more moderate bleeding... yes it can cause you to have a negative pregnancy test while you are pregnant but most likely it would show up positive... if you suspect a ectopic pregnancy you should see your doctor as soon as possible as it is life threatening to the mother also, tubal pregnancy is usually caught before 8 weeks of pregnancy when the baby gets too big to live in your fallopian tube and can errupt causing you to hemorrhage. they will usually do surgery and most of the time remove the tube. so... good luck and if you suspect anything go to your doctor, please.

I have had two ectopics and had very little pain with either, even when one ruptured.

The first one was so bad they cut me open to cut the tube and foetus out.

The last one they tried to treat with a drug to kill the foetus in the tube, however it did not work adn I then had it taken out through a small incision on my side (and a bigger incision on my belly button which I think was used to blow my tummy up so they could see clearer).

I have never heard of a foetus saved if it is ectopic.

If you do have one please get your fallopian tubes checked as it may be some kind f scarring or simple disease that can be cured to ensure your other tube is clear. If you have two ectopics which result in your tube being removed you will be sterile like me.

If in any doubt go to hospital now! I did not even know I was pregnant, but I suffered pain over the weekend which gradually got worse and not until it became unbearable did I go to doctor. Who told me I was pregnant but it had already ruptured. I was hours away from death as I bled internally when they operated the same day and removed my whole tube. All OK in the end but a very scary experience and I wish I had not been so tough and gone to the doctors earlier!

extreme pain in your adomion area pregnancy symptons yes you can get a false negative because of where its developing your hormoe level wn't be high enough if you are experiencing any of these go straight to the doctor also you sometimes bleed a pinky red blood yes the baby dies but for the sake of the mother its normally both die or the baby dies and this can effect you having children in the future as it can burst your fallopian tube so get it checked out

severe pain would be the most obvious symptom
pain in the shoulder tip is also an indicator, but really only a scan can tell you. most eptopic pregnancies have to be aborted for the mothers sake

an ectopic pregnancy is when the egg has implanted and fertillized either outside the womb or within the falliopian tube, i hate to\scare you but if not treated they can be serious....and they will abort it if it is an ectopic as they can kill......it is not a case of the baby having no where to grow more of a case for the mothers health
