Direct and honest for sure like taking that nasty cough syrup! After all you could try watering it down but that would leave you with more to swallow right?

As long as it was deposited into a mutual account, the bank will not care in the slightest. Now if she cashed it and went and spent the money on something she might have a problem with her husband but again banks accept that as long as both names are on the account that they have, it doesn't really matter who signs the checks.

It's always good policy to just be honest and try to make it up to him. Tell him how sorry she is and won't do it again. Many married people do that, I have but it's not right but I do tell my husband right away bcs I only do it in case of an emergency. I have stopped doing that all together now. Just sit the man down and tell him, if he is mature he will probably say, "OK, I understand why you did it but please don't do that again in the future". Honesty is always the best way to go.

The question here is not so much the signing of his name on the check as what she did with the money. If my wife signed my name on a check, I would have no problem with that. If she did it to spend the money on something expensive and frivolous, I would be upset.

I would say that she needs to be prepared to explain to her husband why she needed to do something behind his back.

Take care,
Troy
