You could try Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. It has some violence in it, but no blood, and generally, you're fighting monsters and helping the weak. There are a lot of puzzles and side quests, too, so it keeps you interested and involved.
Rayman Raving Rabbids, is pretty fun, and it's also got a multiplayer, so you could get Mum in on the fun. Same with Monkey Ball Banana Blitz.
I've also heard that Trauma Center: Second Opinion is good. You play a doctor, and have to use the Wiimote to perform surgeries on patients with tumors and such. There is some blood, but it's pretty cartoony and very medical. It's pretty much the DS game, though, so if you've got it for the DS, don't bother. Also, some of the levels are really tough, so if you have low patience, I'd skip this one.
Marvel Ultimate Alliance seems good, too, and I think most of the violence is cartoony.
Recently, I've heard that Elebits is pretty awesome, too. But I haven't played this yet.
Good luck! Hope you find a game that suits you.

Get ExciteTruck, this is one of the best games I've ever played period. Its really fun and not impossible to unlock new stuff. It's not required to win the races to advance, its more of a merit based earning system. No blood and a little...truck? violence if you will.
