yeah go ahead. It is your tail but you could just put a product in it and comb it real well then wait until after the holiday to have it cut.

Yes you should but please remember to get it "Trimmed" by a Professional. There are too many posers out there who say they can "trim" a tail but in reality they will leave you feeling unfulfilled
