We hav ebeen together off and on 6 years and now live together.

I have a big feeling he won't get me anything for Christmas. Not that I want anything. A card would be nice or candy?
But I doubt I get that. I just want the thought..

How about just the fact that you are both together during the holidays? Isn't that better than a physical present?

You've been on and off for 6 years. Don't "off" now because of a material gift. Look introspectively at your own feelings for him. If you can afford it, get him his most prized and treasured dream gift. Don't let the cat out of the bag yet. Wait until X-mas day. Then quote him a most dumb and stupid quote and ask him whether he knows whoever uttered it (there are many dumb quotes like Shields' "If you are killed, you've lost a very important part of your life"). If he gets it, be creative and imaginative, make one out of the blues. He must be defeated for good measure. Tell him the utterer or if you made it up, insist you read it elsewhere but forgot the source. Then give him the present with a note bearing your signature with some inscription like "For my bosom Love! A small priceless X-mas gift!" He should get the message unsaid!! Enjoy the rest of the day happily with a clear conscience!

I'm curious why you posted this question under "Books & Authors"...I think it would be more suited to Relationships.

And what if your boyfriend doesn't buy you anything? You say you've been together 6 years...so whatever happened in the past years at Christmas would probably apply. If he bought you gifts before, he probably will again. Also, if you really don't care what he gives you then I don't get what you are asking.

Hmm. If you really care about someone, and you celebrate Christmas...gift giving brings you happiness.

If you boyfriend doesn't give you anything...then he just doesn't care enough for you.

Get a new boyfriend. Don't allow yourself to be treated like this.

If you feel that you know him and that feeling tells you you're getting nothing for Christmas... I'd say you're pretty much getting nothing at all.

Stop wasting your time! Get yourself a nice guy that will surprise you if he doesn't get you anything - not if he does.

well dont worry , if your BF doesnt buy you anything then life will not end there right? still be happy! christmas is isnt waiting for something from someone to give you something. christmas is a matter of love, giving love & sharing love... em i right? so its better to give something other than waiting for it. so if he ddnt give you anything dont be sad ok? or if he give's you something else then accept it dont reject it coz that would break his heart.

thank you.

If he buys you nothing then he is a pennypinching, cheapskating cad who does not deserve a woman such as you.

He should buy you something -it doesn't have to be expensive.
And you should get a card!! If he doesn't buy you things now-then if you get married he won't buy you things later!!!!
