I want to travel on February 7 or 8 from Chicago to Boston by train but cannot find a direct service. Does one exist?

Most direct service is on the Lake Shore Limited, from Chicago's Union Station to Boston's South Station. Just need to make the transfer at Albany.

One probably does not exist. It will probably send you to Grand Central Station in NYC and you'll take another Amtrak through Connecticut and Massachusetts to Boston.
