Bigfoot is an image construct.
Bigfoot/Sasquatch is a part of Aboriginal history, passed down through oral histories of people witnessing such a creature.

Fairytale I do not know, Is the Lochness Monster real? Are UFO's real? There has not been any significant evidence leading to the stories behind Bigfoot. Sightings and stories but no one ever had any hard proof!

If it is real, it would have to be a rather intelligent creature to be aware of the fact that it should keep away from human beings, and being so good at doing so.
There has been some very recent evidence within the past week of sightings and hair collected by some farmers near the Saskatchewan and Manitoba border.

It is real. It is a shy very large nocturnal hominoid/hominid roaming our woods. The evidence for it is overwhelming. For those who are sure it is a myth, I dare say they have spent very little time researching the topic. This is sad because it is important and interesting. To dismiss the evidence just shows a lack of appreciation for how much there is. For those who have looked at the evidence, the main difficulty seems to be to get others to actually look at it objectively. I realize that a giant hairy hominoid roaming our backyard is a pretty hard nut to swallow but the alternatives are even harder to swallow.
