To get that job first off don't look like a slob make sure nails are clean you are well groomed and shoes are shine employer notice.
Go On line and look at the MMPI test http://cyberper.cnc.net/MMPI2news.htm
A lot of companies ask you these questions now and you need to know how to answer them helps determine if your somewhat normal and will fit within there company
here are some interveiw questions that might help you to prepare.
http://www.job-interview-questions.com/samples.htm
Also if its a big company do your homework find out about that company tell them your impressed with what you heard.
A firm handshake (strength, vigor, duration, eye contact and completeness of grip) and a favorable first impression.
The proper handshake should be firm, with an energy that communicates sincerity, strength and professionalism, Slide your hand into the other person's until your webs touch and give a firm, not squeezing, pump.Say how do you do.or give interduction hello My Name is John Smith.
Ask Questions
Not asking an interview questions sends a signal that you don't know enough about the business to ask an intelligent question, or it shows that you don't see yourself within the environment of the company. At best, it shows a lack of creativity. Your questions do more than show your interest; they can also provide valuable information you can use in assessing the job.
Be good listener, you should be able to follow up on something the interviewer said during your visit
Have a number of questions rehearsed and ready to go. Many of the prepared topics will be discussed during the course of the interview, but there should be some left over at the end.
Employment Background Check expect it.
credit history to gauge your level of responsibility.. Unfortunately, a bad credit report can work against you in your search for employment.also a bad DMV and if your working in health any problems with the law.
They will ask questions that make you react on your feet ; the trick is to start big and take it one step at a time. The only sure-fire way to fail at these questions is to be stumped. Offer up your ideas even if they seem a bit bizarre.
You really need to pratice on someone have them ask you questions look them straight in the eye also pratice in the mirror
Have interveiwed a lot and now I interveiw people a lot

As a hiring manager, I'm often stunned at how poorly prepared people come in. Here are my thoughts:
1. Dress conservatively and professionally. Dark suits (even for women) and nothing wild or daring. Sensible shoes.
2. Please don't chew gum and make sure you've brushed your teeth. Nothing makes a bad first impression like pathologically bad breath.
3. Research the company before you interview. Know what they do. Try to figure out what their identity is. An interview with Disney or Apple isn't the same as an interview with Chase-Manhattan or WellsFargo.
4. Bring a NICE copy of your resume with you.
5. Be prepared to ask questions about the office culture, expectations - try to get a good solid picture of what your average day will be like.
Most importantly - look them in the eye, be honest, don't lie on your resume, smile, and don't talk about your personal life. SELL YOURSELF. Just like selling a car - tell them what about you will be useful and beneficial to them.

I know it sucks... I personally went to atleast 40 interviews before I landed my first real world job.
Tip of advice:
Be confident
Talk some BS, tell them that you are ready to do anything
Dress to impress
Don't sound too desperate
Don't give them one sentense answer.
Don't give them No as answer.
In the end, be sure to ask them questions and tell them that you are interested.

Just look and sound professional, they aren't going to hire someone that doesn't look and talk the best. Don't use a lot of slang like hey, wassup, etc. Talk as if you are writing and english paper and use correct grammer, just those types of various things.
