Only a couple of places in Aberdeen and the kiltmaker on Schoolhill would probably be the best. A shop further up on the same road sells t-shirts, sweaters etc with the Scotland logo on them. Got quite a good selection.

Hope you have a fab holiday when you come over next year.

Treat yourself to a day out in Edinburgh and take a walk down the Royal Mile. It has a castle at the top and a palace at the bottom with hundreds of gift/souvenir shops in between.
If you dont want to leave the Aberdeen area visit one of the local whiskey distilleries or shortbread factories for local souvenirs.

There's a kilt shop on Schoolhill, which is behind the Bon Accord shopping center. That's got a lot of souveniors.

There's tons of places in Edinburgh, but not many in Aberdeen.

The people are really friendly though and you should have no problem asking people.
